LOSS OF GUMPTION DUE TO ASSUMPTION

Assumption in the Dictionary;

(-smpshn)n.

2. The act of taking possession or asserting a claim: assumption of command.
3. The act of taking for granted: assumption of a false theory.
4. Something taken for granted or accepted as true without proof; a supposition: a valid assumption.

Assumption in Courtney's World;
1. Thinking that I would be taken off of bed rest at 34 weeks gestation. I "assumed" this because I was going to be sent home from the hospital at 34 weeks. And the other moms who got sent home, went home off of bed rest.

Reality;
I will not and cannot be taken off of bed rest before delivery, not even at 38 weeks.

So for the explanation...
I had my Dr's appointment yesterday, that my loving hubby took off of work for. After waiting for what seemed like forever, in walks the doctor. She was so happy to see me, and even gave me a hug out of excitement for making it to 32 weeks. We just love her. WELL...After asking her a few questions about my medications, I dropped the big one. "So, when can I come off of bed rest?" she promptly replied "Oh, when you have the baby!"
OMG!!! I just cannot stand it. I have gone past the point that optimism will help. Yes, I know this is what is good for the baby. Yes, I know that this is just a short amount of time out of my life. Yes, I know everything. And yes, I will go to the end of the earth and back to have this baby be born strong and healthy. But some days it just helped to know that I might be able to get things ready for the baby before I give birth to him. Maybe "nest" a bit. Thanks to Jeff my hips are feeling better. He brought my memory foam mattress down to me, and what a world of difference that makes. I can lay on one side for more than 10 minutes.

That's all I've got for today. Hopefully tomorrow some of my progesterone hormones will have worn off and I will be a little happier. I will also post pictures of Tucker doing construction on his new room and the nursery.

That's a bummer! We'll definitely try to set up a board game night soon to get those spirits up! Speaking of, I can't believe we forgot to take pics of our Chinese/Life night!

*My 6th grade English teacher taught me that to assume is to make an ASS out of U and ME. Ha, ha, ha!

You must be the strongest women I know. Hang in there just for a little bit long. And know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prays daily.

I'm sorry to hear that you can't come off bed rest but just remember...as you're resting, your body is working really hard at making Boris strong and healthy. You are doing an amazing job Courtney.
