CARTER'S BAPTISM

This has been a fun filled weekend. On Saturday I attended a baby shower for my SIL Amanda that was given by our friend Andrea. We had a great time, eating great food, and playing Jenga. Amanda got a lot of nice things in preparation for Poppy's arrival in 4-6 weeks from now. She has her Visa interview today! We cannot hold in our excitement.

On Sunday Carter was baptized! I was a proud moment for us as parents. He wore a gown that belonged to his Great-Grandfather. He looked so handsome and he was so well behaved. Not one peep out of him throughout the whole service.

Carter looked so cute in his baptismal gown.
His Great-Nana had this Baptismal bib made especially for Carter.
Rev. Don Weaver took Carter out into the congregation to present him to the church.
Godmother Amanda and Carter outside at his party.
This is our new outdoor living room. We have lamps, fans, and even cable TV. It is so nice on a cool evening to all sit outside.
Sidney was making sure Tucker couldn't butt in line for the swing.
This is the Drew-Man. How cute is he? He is Brian and Andrea's son.
Henry was having a blast on the swing. He squealed and squealed with joy.
Did I mention we set-up a bounce house for the kids. They loved it, and we loved that they all went to bed early.
And here is the beautiful cake that we had for Carter. Too bad he couldn't eat it.

HAIL IN JUNE?

We have had a lot going on lately. From Carter starting cereal, hail storms in June, and Field Days at our local fire hall. Also, Tucker had his last day of school yesterday. He will only have a two week break before starting summer session. I think that he is bored already. He is used to non-stop action. And he isn't going to get it at our house. We will have to set up a play date with his girlfriend Willow. Here are some of the pictures from this past week.

Carter has now started eating rice cereal. He loves it and cannot get enough. Can you believe he is already 4 months old?
This is a picture of the hail that fell from the sky last week. Some of the hail stones were as big as golf balls and caused thousands of dollars in damage to cars. Including ours!!!
We went to Brighton Field Days last week and the first thing Tucker saw was the big slide. He squealed with joy all the way down.
Carter got a free ride in his stroller through the carnival. He loves people watching as much as his Mommy.
Tucker quickly moved onto big and better things.
This one made my stomach turn watching him on it. This kid has no fear.
"Hi Daddy" ... "Tucker!!!!! Don't lean over too far, you'll fall out!!!!"
Yesterday we went to our cousins house for a birthday party. Tucker wouldn't get off of the trampoline. Needless to say...he slept well.
So did Carter.
Ummmm! Yeh, my heart stopped when I saw the two of them come out of the barn on that thing. Don't worry, they posed for a picture then Tucker was booted off by Mom. No way Jose!
That is more my speed Tucker. Stick with that and make me happy.
Well that is our week in pics. We had a really good time. Next weekend is Carter's Baptism so stay tuned for pics from that.

WE'RE BACK! GET READY FOR PICTURES!

We are back from one of the most amazing vacations ever! We had a pretty long trip down to VA due to our not so wonderful GPS. But the boys were wonderful. We had a great week at my Grandparent's river cottage on the Rappahanock River. I grew up on that river on the weekends, and now I get to share that with my kids. Tucker had the time of his life, and Carter got to meet his Pop-Up (my Dad), May-Make (my brother), GG (my Grandma), and Poppy (my Grandpa). I will let these pictures tell the story of our week.

Carter was out on the pier every morning when it was cool. But we took him in during the heat of the afternoon when the thermometer hit 102 degrees.
Here is our pier. We spent many hours out there swimming and talking.

Tucker and Poppy enjoyed the ride in the back of the boat. Tucker thought that it was so cool.
Candid of Daddy and Carter-Man on the pier.Don't worry, we had the key. But boy did he think he was the man.
Sometimes early in the morning the water was a little chilly so we filled up a little raft for Carter and set it in the sun to warm up. Carter loved hang'n out in the water.
Carter loved the boat ride. But did not love his life jacket. He did finally fall asleep.
That really is Tucker tubing behind the boat. He would yell "Faster Nana, Faster!"
Fishing was one of our favorite pastimes this week.
Back at my Mom and Dad's house for my brother's graduation. Tucker enjoyed the playground in their backyard.
And Daddy takes his youngest son fishing this time.
The High School Graduate! Mason and Tucker before the grad party started.
Proud Parents!
A nice little spread! Ode to Mason.
And Carter finally got to meet one of his cousins. This is Olivia and she is 2 months older than Carter. They had a good time. But Carter wanted her to get out of his swing so he could take a nap.We had a really nice time. I took 213 pictures so you can imagine how hard it was to pick these out for the blog. The ride home was quicker and much more enjoyable. When we got home, we unpacked the car, changed, and headed over to my in-laws for a Father's Day celebration. We munched on some great slow cooked ribs and shrimp/scallops on the grill. It was all delicious. Happy Father's Day!

HEADED TO THE OLD DOMINION!

We are headed back to Virginia to see my family. We are leaving bright and early in the morning. I cannot wait for my Grandparents to meet my newest addition to the family. No one is going to believe how big Tucker has gotten. We will have the best time. We are going to the river for a few days to stay at our cottage then we are headed back to the 'ville for my brother's graduation and grad party. I will have tons of pictures when we get back. I hope you all have a wonderful week.
