OUR FIRST WEEK HOME

Tucker loves his little brother so much!

Mommy and Carter at his first Dr.s appointment.

Bath time...Rub a dub dub!

Carter loves playing on the floor. He stays awake for at least an hour.

I must say that bringing home your second baby is much different than bringing home your first. That fear of "What do we do?" is gone and we are able to relax and enjoy our 2 boys. Now if I could just wake up enough in the middle of the night to catch the continuous pee stream that causes me to change his clothes twice a night! You would think that I would remember to cover that thing. Carter is one week old now and everyone keeps asking how we are doing. It's simple...we are doing FANTASTIC!!! Carter sleeps for 2.5 - 3 hours at a time and sometimes I have to wake him up to feed him. He had 2 Dr.s appointments this week to check on his weight and to follow up on breastfeeding (which is a joy beyond belief). Carter is gaining weight and his jaundice is gone. We are all doing so well and are so happy.

BABY MORRIS ON THE WAY SOON!

Just a very quick update on todays most recent events. I went to the Dr.s office today for a follow up appt. and I told him about the toe curling contractions that I have had for the last 24 hours. Upon examination he found me to be fully effaced and the baby is in 0 station, and a full 3cm dilated. He informed Jeff and I that we would be parents by Sunday. We are so very excited and nervous at the same time. Everything is layed out and bags are packed. We will keep you updated as things progress. I will probably have a ghost writer for the next few days, because my computer monitor has decided to die. So hopefully, we will have pictures up as soon as possible. Thank you all for your love and support. We could not have made it this far without each and every one of you there to cheer us on. Please continue to pray for a safe delivery.

AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!

ARRRG! Its not just for pirates anymore. It is for 9 month pregnant women who have just been sent home from the hospital for the 5th time. Let me rewind...I had my Dr.s appointment this morning and they found my blood pressure to be high. They had me lay on my side and it was still high. Well, just to be on the safe side they sent me to (and you'll never guess where) Labor & Delivery! That it was a possibility that if it stayed high I might have to be induced. I called Jeff and told him not to even leave work, I will be home shortly. So, after many labs and checks I am fine! Fine, Fine, Fine!!! My blood pressure even went down 30minutes after I got there. One of the Dr.s in my group was there and she felt terrible. She knew how frustrated I was. She said that they will induce me before 39 weeks, that it would be unsafe at this point, with my history of high blood pressure to let me go all the way. So thats good news. Also, they estimate the baby to be about 6lbs now. I guess he hasn't done much growing lately, but I was assured that he is very healthy. I know that we have all been praying for a big, beautiful, healthy baby, and I really think that it is working. But, we may need to start praying for Mom's sanity and patience. Thanks a bunch.

In other news;

Jeff is somewhat of a local celebrity around here. He was interviewed by Channel 2 News about working in the extremely cold temperatures. Here is the interview...

Last night we took Tucker out to eat to the Texas Roadhouse. He had a blast and he got a balloon animal hat. I think it resembles a mosquito. What do you think it is?

Here is my most recent belly shot! Don't be scared now, I here it goes away.

And just for fun...up, up, and away. Its Super T-Man!

-14 DEGREES CAN"T STOP US FROM JAMMING!

Today Tucker is home from school due to extreme negative temperatures from wind chill. It all started as a normal day, in fact I was going to get Tucker on the bus for the first time since November. We were up, fed, and dressed. About 10 minutes before we were to head out of the door. I said to myself "I wonder how cold it is outside, the wind is really blowing". So I whipped out my handy-dandy laptop and logged onto WGRZ.com. Well, the first big headline I see is that schools are closed due to windchill. I was like "OH MY GOSH", good thing I checked before we stood out in the cold. The actual temperature this morning was 5 degrees with a windchill of -14 to -19 in some areas. BRRRRRRR! Well, that didn't stop Tucker and I from having fun today. Check out how we entertained ourselves...

Sorry if you have to crick your neck to watch! Still new to this ya know!

We sang and danced today as well as make muffins and Valentines cards for Daddy!

On the pregnancy homefront, nothing new is happening. I have had a bit of a bug the last few days. I just haven't felt very well at all. No fever, but plenty of other symptoms. Don't worry, I have been drinking plenty of fluids and the baby is moving quite a lot. I do have a Dr.s appointment tomorrow, so I will mention it to him. I am getting really anxious now. I have waited a long time to get here, now I can't wait to be done. It is bittersweet though. This is it, no more pregnancies for me, so I had better enjoy what little bit I have left. I will update you all after my appointment tomorrow.

UPDATE AT 36 WEEKS AND COUNTING...

OK everyone raise your hand if you thought that I would make it this far. Admit it, your hand is not raised. Well neither is mine. I did go to the doctor yesterday for a checkup. I am still 2.5-3cm dilated and the baby is doing great. My doctor was very comforting yesterday and assured me that we will get through the delivery of this "huge" baby. It is really nice that he understands that my teeny tiny babies are all that I've had, and that the prospect of having a baby over 7lbs might be a bit frightening to me. He gave me the go ahead to take myself off of my progesterone injections and my procardia pills. He laughed and said he was on call this weekend and would be more than happy to delivery my baby this weekend. But I think that little "Boris" has his own plans. He will come along when he wants to. I would just like to stop running to the bathroom every 15minutes because he is kicking my bladder full force. Well, wish me luck just in case I do have him soon. There is now nothing holding him back besides nature. I will keep you all updated.
