CHRISTMAS EVE

Last night was our annual Christmas Eve Open House at the Morris House. Every year the whole family comes in and out for hours on end to eat good food, exchange gifts, and take the time to catch up with each other after another busy year. This has been going on for as long as Jeff can remember, things have changed a bit of course. He is no longer one of the kids running around on a sugar high. It is his children, nieces, nephews, and cousins that he is chasing after. We had a wonderful time last night. The only thing that would have made it complete would've been to have my family with me.

Uncle Marc showing Gage how to build paper airplanes with Poppy on his lap!

This little beauty is Layla one of the cousin's little girls.

O' CHRISTMAS TREE O' CHRISTMAS TREE!

So we have finally finished decorating for Christmas. The stockings are up, the candles in the windows, and tonight we decorated the Christmas Tree.

This is Parker and Grace's ornament that was given to us at one of our Christmas Memorials. I couldn't have come up with any better saying if I tried.

Jeff surprised me and dug out my Dad's old train. He has been working on it for a couple of weeks. So we set it up under the tree last night. Here are a couple of shots.

STRONG MUSEUM OF PLAY

The other week Jeff and I took the kids on a little impromptu day trip. We took them to Rochester to the Strong Museum of Play. This is one of our favorite places to take them. I mean can you imagine a whole museum of toys and play things to explore?

HURD ORCHARD

I had a birthday in November. My present from my mom was her flying up here to join in our annual tradition of going to the Hurd Orchard for a Thanksgiving Tasting. This is one of my favorite things EVER!!! We drive about 2 hours away to a working fruit farm and eat in this beautiful old barn decorated with flowers grown on the farm. There were 23 recipes to try and I couldn't pick one that I liked better than another. While the food was good, my favorite part was my mom being there with me!

Jeff took a few fun shots of Mom and I before we left!

Girls just wanna have fun!
