GREAT WEEKEND!!!

Well, we had a great weekend so far. For the past month I have been getting ready for the garage sale of the century. Well, we had it yesterday and planned on having it today. Jeff and I were up at 5am and moved everything outside and set things up on tables. We were still moving things around when a car drove up at 6:30 and bought our elliptical machine. Well, people just kept coming all day long. My friends Tricia and Andrea came and hung out all day with Carter and I. Andrea left around 1:00 when the garage sale was supposed to end. But I couldn't move everything in the garage so I stayed out until Jeff got home at 3:45. Well, I sold so much stuff that we didn't need to have the sale today. So we went to a birthday party out in the country instead. My friend Michelle's twin girls turned 9. We had a great time. But had to leave due to a storm rolling in that brought 40 mph winds and nickel sized hail.

Here is Tucker goofing off!

There was silly string in the goody bags. We were covered with it.
Brianna and Shauna are the birthday girls! And boy did they love Carter!
Tucker and I at the garage sale before T-Man went to school.
Tucker took this picture of Daddy heading off to work.
This is my house. Built in the early 1800s. The original owner of the house was "Old Goat" Charlie. He was a crotchety old goat farmer. His Great Great Grandson came to the garage sale. I learned a lot about the house and I heard some great family stories.
This is Jeff's cousin's little girl Aniya. She is so petite. Just a wisp compared to the tank called Carter.
Yep, a great weekend indeed. And it doesn't end there folks. Jeff is off to a beer tasting tonight. And tomorrow night I am headed to the Melting Pot for some fondue then off to see Sex in The City. A woman's dream night. And even better...I won a 20 minute foot rub from Jeff in a bet. I love being right all of the time!

LAWN WORK, SUNGLASSES, PARADES! OH MY!

This week I have been taking pictures galore, and have a lot of opportunities to take them. Earlier in the weekend, Jeff and Tucker were outside for hours doing lawn work. Tucker was in his Jeep chasing Jeff around the yard on the lawnmower. It was so funny.

Tucker stopped chasing Jeff long enough to hop on the lawnmower with Daddy.

Carter Morris aka Blues Brother #3

Jeffs cousin Matt and his daughter Melynda went to the Memorial Day Parade with us. We parked at Uma and Upa's house and walked to the parade.

Mommy is in a picture!!! Yeh, I know it's from the side. The one of me head on, is not very good.
This policeman was nice enough to pose for a picture with T-Man. This better be the only time Tucker has a run-in with the law.
Isn't Melynda precious?

Even when Carter eats his bottle he is adorable.
HELLO!

And last but certianly not least. This is the latest picture of Poppy. Marc and Amanda got another update on her. I hear that she has 2 teeth and is a bit shy. Man is she adorable? I cannot wait to meet her. So, I will continue to work on my photography skills and document our fun little lives. Summer...she is a com'n!

TESTING....TESTING...PICTURES GALORE

I have had many requests to do a comparison between my old camera and my new Nikon D60 to prove its wonderfulness. I welcomed the challenge with open arms.

So first we have the Nikon D60 shot.

Now my old camera, which is less than a year old, and will remain nameless. Check out the color difference on the play mat. The old camera looks so muddy.
Tucker and I decided to take a few pictures before school today. And Tucker found "his flower" or "my weed". He was completely in awe and couldn't wait to get blowing.
There he goes!!!

Okay Mom, enough pictures. I am ready for the school bus to come. This is how Tucker fell asleep last night. He just got his new bean bag yesterday. I'd say he loves it!
And I would like to Congratulate Matt, Jen, and Melynda on the newest addition to their family. Brayden Mathew who weighed in a whopping 10lbs 3oz. Way to go Jen!!!!!
And last but not least. Daddy and Carter are such a cute pair. Hey...why are there never any pictures of me and my children. Well, that's going to change. Jeff is going to learn how to use the Nikon.
All is well in the Morris household. Jeff and I have been working and the boys are still the cutest kids I have ever seen. We have been working outside on the yard and finishing up the boy's rooms. The weather here has been obscenely cold. It has been going down into the high 30's and low 40's during the night. It has only reached about 55 during the day. Isn't this supposed to be spring. I look forward to going home to VA in the beginning of June. It will be nice and warm down there and I will be with my whole family. I want to send out a great big Congratulations to my brother Mason who is graduating high school on the 14th of June. CONGRATS BRO!

CHOC-FULL-O-PICTURES

Well, we made the decision to make our camera purchase a wee bit early. What a great decision! We ended up with the Nikon D60 camera. OMG!!! We love it, and we get to capture our fondest memories in a better light. So take a look at our boys.

Carter-Man just loooooves his bath time now. And how blue can blue get? Our old camera wasn't this clear.

Tucker even gave us a real smile.
Jeff has no idea I put this on here. But he is so cute!
Tucker going for an artistic view.
Carter looking like an old man smiling.

Uncle Marc and Aunt Amanda came over last night for a little dinner and fun. That would be Aunt Amanda in the background bowling on our Wii. Great fun had by all. We did Wii fit test and tested our fit age. I was 36 and Jeff was 37. Certain people who shall remain nameless were in their 50's. Tucker is holding a plush picture frame that Amanda and Marc got at Amanda's work baby shower. It is so cute, it has several different pictures of people saying "My Poppy", then a picture of Marc and Amanda and it says "Okay, she's your Poppy". I thought that was such a cute idea.

So you will have to keep track of how my photography gets better. I hope!

GREAT THINGS COMING UP IN OUR LIVES!

First...no super cute pictures this week. I forgot my camera on Mother's Day, and neither one of my adorable children have been smiling for the camera. They sure do ham it up when the camera is off. Carter is even laughing now. It's so cute. There is a little squeak mixed in with the laughing.
So, Happy Belated Mother's Day to you all. We had a wonderful day. When I woke up, Tucker gave me my Mother's Day presents. Tucker and Carter gave me a trucker's cap, and a "I love Mom" mug. Jeff had already given me a beautiful patio furniture set. I cannot wait to set it up. We started the day off with early service at church. Carter managed to stay awake, eat a bottle (rather loudly), cry, and soil himself and me along with him. Other than that, it was a great service. Then we took a trip over to the cemetery so that I could be with all 4 of my children on Mother's Day. We took what we thought was a really good picture. But upon further investigation, Tucker was making a face like the devil. I just couldn't post it. We then headed to the Holiday Inn for a wonderful Mother's Day Brunch. The food and company were great. After brunch we went shopping. And who doesn't like shopping. The rest of the day was mine. I went on a rampage and declared war on the house. I was putting away winter clothes and getting out summer clothes. I organized all of Tucker's old baby clothes in order by size and dug in on garage sale stuff again.
Speaking of...I am having a garage sale in a couple of weeks. It is truly amazing how much stuff one can accumulate in just a few short years. I spend at least 1-2 hours a day going through our attic, and I still haven't put a dent in it. Which leads me to one of my great things coming up for me. I am purchasing a Nikon D40. For those who are not in the know, it is only the best camera out there. I have already started looking up different photography techniques and zoom lens'. I am very excited, and it is motivating me to get rid of as much stuff as I can, so I can treat myself to this camera. Be prepared for my pictures to start improving in a few weeks.

Another great thing coming up in our lives, is a trip to Virginia in the beginning of June for my brother's high school graduation. Yes, high school. We are going down a week early to spend the week at my grandparents river cottage. I grew up there every weekend since I was born. I cannot wait. We are going to have a great time. Maybe we will even teach Tucker how to ski. Well, why not? I learned when I was four. We'll see!

HALLELUJAH!!!

CARTER SLEPT THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!!! We had a very interesting evening out visiting lawn furniture in Lockport and going out to dinner. Tucker was very badly behaved, and Carter was miserable for some reason. They were fine before we left, but as soon as we walked into our friendly neighborhood grill, Applebees, it hit the fan. Well needless to say, Carter was awake for about 4 straight hours and very active (crying, screaming, & pooping). He fell asleep after being fed at 9:00pm and didn't wake up for another feed until 4:30am. Granted, he kind of tossed and turned a few times, but nothing a little pacifier and a pat on the tummy couldn't cure. After he ate at 4:30, he fell back to sleep by 5:00am and slept again until 7:30am. Can you believe it? Jeff and I got to spend the whole night in the same bed for the first time since November. No taking Carter down stairs at 5:00am and putting him in his swing to get him back to sleep, and finishing off the night on the couch. It was a very nice night of sleep. However, the perpetual runny nose that Tucker has had since October, has finally run into me and Carter. We are not feeling very well, but we are well rested. I pray that this wasn't a one time deal, and that we get a repeat of last night again tonight.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMANDA & POPPY!

Yesterday we celebrated Amanda and Poppy's Birthdays. We had a beautiful cake for Amanda from Butterwood's Bakery. It is our favorite cake, with strawberries and whip cream goodness. Even Jeff will eat it, and Jeff rarely finds things that he likes. Check out the "blow toads" in action.
We also surprised Amanda and Marc with a birthday cake for Poppy's 1st Birthday. Even though she isn't here with us in person, she is in our hearts and we know that we will celebrate many more birthdays with her as the years go by. We will just have to let her make a mess of her 2nd birthday cake, so Marc and Amanda can experience getting icing out of hair, and being up until 2am from the sugar.
Move over Blues Travelers! The Morris' are in the house. Tucker, Henry, and Sidney started jamm'n in the kitchen. Oh the sweet music of children...is sure to give you a migraine.
Cowboy Tucker was tuckered out, and decided to take a little rest. So he tied up his pony, tipped his hat down, and was fast asleep before you could say "Wild Bill Hiccup".
And at last, some brotherly love. But check out Tucker's new haircut. Spiffy I think!
